My Counselling Approach

At CCP Counselling, I believe that lasting healing addresses the whole person — mind, body, and spirit. My approach weaves together professional therapeutic practice, biblical wisdom, and the presence of the Holy Spirit.

Person-Centred & Trauma-Informed

Every person who walks through my door — or joins me online — is treated with unconditional positive regard. I create a safe, non-judgmental space where you can speak honestly about your struggles without fear of shame or condemnation.

Biblically Grounded

Scripture is not an afterthought — it is woven into the fabric of my practice. I draw on the wisdom of God's Word to bring perspective, hope, and direction to the challenges you face.

Evidence-Based Modalities

I integrate proven therapeutic approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and a Person-Centred Approach — always adapted to your unique needs.

Prayer & Spiritual Integration

With your consent, prayer and spiritual practices can be woven into your sessions. I believe the Holy Spirit is the ultimate Counsellor, and I invite His presence and guidance into the healing process.

Collaborative & Goal-Oriented

Counselling is a partnership. I work with you — not at you — to identify your goals, understand your story, and develop practical strategies for growth and healing.

Culturally Sensitive

I welcome people from all backgrounds, cultures, and walks of life. My practice is inclusive and respectful of diversity, while remaining grounded in Christian values and ethics.

Informed Consent

Before your first session, we provide a clear explanation of what counselling involves, what you can expect, and your rights as a client. Informed consent is not just a form — it is the foundation of a respectful therapeutic relationship.

  • You will receive a clear explanation of the counselling process, goals, and methods before your first session.
  • You have the right to ask questions about any aspect of your counselling at any time.
  • You may withdraw consent and end counselling at any time without penalty or judgment.
  • Any use of prayer, Scripture, or spiritual practices requires your explicit consent and can be declined at any time.
  • You will be informed of any limits to confidentiality before they arise, not after.
  • Session notes and records are held securely and in accordance with Australian privacy law.

Schedule a Confidential Conversation

Everything shared in your session stays private. Start with a safe, no-pressure conversation today.

Schedule a Confidential Conversation

Confidentiality

What you share in your counselling sessions is held in the strictest confidence. Confidentiality is not just a legal requirement — it is a moral and ethical commitment I take seriously.

Everything discussed in your sessions remains private between you and me. I do not share your information with family members, employers, churches, or any third party without your written consent.

Limits to Confidentiality

There are a small number of legally required exceptions to confidentiality. We will always inform you of these limits before they arise:

  • If you disclose an intention to harm yourself or another person, we are required to take steps to ensure safety.
  • If we become aware of abuse or neglect of a child or vulnerable adult, we are mandated to report this to the relevant authorities.
  • If a court of law subpoenas your records, we are legally required to comply.
  • Clinical supervision: your counsellor discusses cases with their supervisor for professional accountability. No identifying information is shared.

Statement of Faith

My counselling practice is rooted in the Christian faith. I believe in the God of the Bible — Father, Son, and Holy Spirit — and that He is the ultimate source of all healing, wisdom, and restoration.

  • I believe Jesus Christ came to heal the brokenhearted, set the captives free, and bring life in all its fullness (Luke 4:18; John 10:10).
  • I believe the Holy Spirit is present and active in the counselling room, bringing comfort, conviction, and transformation.
  • I believe Scripture is the living Word of God, sufficient to address every human struggle when applied with wisdom and compassion (2 Timothy 3:16-17).
  • I believe every person is made in the image of God, deeply loved, and worthy of dignity and care — regardless of background, struggles, or past.
  • I welcome clients of all faiths. My Christian foundation shapes my values and ethics; it is never imposed on those who do not share it.

For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
